My concentration theme is a cause and effect/then and now composite image photostory comparing the progression of the eras. The cause/effect era progression idea is interesting to me because I've always been fascinated by different time periods that I was unfortunately born too late to partake in. The compare/contrast nature of my concentration allows the modern and retro to interact, bridging the gap between an age I'm familiar with and an era I've only seen depicted through the media.
I love your concentration! Wonderful job, the color/black-and-white contrasts are amazing and well done. A few pictures seem a little fuzzy/distorted, however. Overall, great job!
I love how you put your pictures together. Some have different angles on the same scene and what-not. The models you picked and the poses you chose makes the picture seem real, and not just a picture. The picture of the cap in the first photo is a little blurry, and the repitition of the "Life" magazines seems a little redundant. I like the picture of the date, but there's two to many of the "Life" magazine pics. Good Job!
Cheesabel, I think you're rad. These are super badass! the only thing I can think to improve is maybe to change a few pictures with the baking ones? They're a little repetitive, but still really fantastic! I love the ones of Daisy in the flapper dress! Good job, woman!
Isabel, I love what you did to make this concentration so great. These are all terrific photos and you definitly got the story across. Each set of collaged images sets you back into that time and that is something that is sometimes hard to achieve but you did this VERY well. I would suggest maybe taking out the 2 lone pictures and trying to create a collage with them since the rest of the photos are collaged. Other then that i think you did an excellent job at setting them all up, choosing the right model for that time period, and taking clear photos.
All of your pictures are great! The only thing I would suggest would be to add a little more variety to your theme, maybe adding a couple of more stories. They are really great shots!
I think all these pictures are good! The colors are amazing and you have a good eye. They are all clear where they are suppose to be, and i enjoy looking at all the photo storys.
I really like your combination of old and new, and I think all your photos look great, but you may want to increase the saturation in some of your "now" images.
Isabel, love! These photos are wonderful!! I love the second one of Daisy and all of the hippie shots :D You did a fantastic job of making the colors pop and bringing out the strong elements of black and white. Your theme is super original as well which adds to the awesome vibe of these photos. Excellent job choosing subject matter! Shplendid job! :)
I love your concentration idea! Your pictures are not just beautiful but elegant as well. The theme is clearly visable in the photos and each photo is strong on its own.
Isabel looks very alcoholic, its awesome. The second picture is super cool, I love the mood and lighting in it. Also the colors of the second series work wonderfully together. The picture of Mr. Case's room is just spectacular, by the way. The coloring you used is great, five stars all around.
You have a great eye for clear and pretty pictures. They look awsome. You used great lighting and color in every picture. My favorite is the black and white one of daisy. It's amazing.
Wow, your pictures are beautiful! I love your concentration theme! Your pictures tell a story, and they have strong features! I wouldn't change anything. They are all great!
Nicely taken. I like how you incoporated some color photos into the black and white photos. Some are a little blurry. But other then that great job!

ReplyDeleteAs I have said before I absolutely love the theme you chose. I love the vintage look and it VS. the modern look.
