Week Three

This week I didn't have access to a model so I took some photos of objects representative of different eras I intend to depict. I'll use the photos to dot the edges of my finished collages. This week I also contemplated changing my concentration to a focus on the stereotypes of the early 60's. There would be an image of the commercial reality and then an image of the true reality. Like the housewife depicted in my previous post and then a consecutive photo of her lying in bed crying, or something similar. I'll hopefully have a Prohibition photoshoot this weekend and will be better able to evaluate the quality of my concept.

Could work for future hippie shots

  1. These are well taken detail shots with lighting that enhances the form. They should nicely accent your portrait images. Have you heard of the artist Cindy Sherman? She used herself as a model and talked about female stereotypes through staged photography. Google the lady! She's awesome, and I think you could relate to her work!
